Household food insecurity data from the Vietnamese Mekong Delta

The study "Household Food Insecurity in the Vietnamese Meking Delta" involved three phases of data collection:

Phase 1: Qualitative interviews with n=15 primary food preparers in the Mekong Delta

Phase 2: Pilot study for face validity and reliability of survey tools

Phase 3: Cross-sectional survey N=552 including interviewer administered survey collecting data on demographics, shocks, household food security, diet diversity, food availabilty, mental and physical health. Observation of water, sanitation and hygiene including water storage, latrine availability and hygiene practices.

Geographical area of data collection

Data was collected from three provinces in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam: Tien Giang (qualitative and pilot study data), and Dong Thap and Tra Vinh (main study data).
