Adhesion-driven deformation of Gram-negative envelopes on nanopatterned surfaces

Viewed: 1136

This dataset provides the results of ABAQUS/Standard (Dassault Systèmes Simulia, Johnston, RI) simulations of Gram-negative bacterial envelopes deforming on nanopatterned surfaces. It is an accompanyment to the article 'Mechanics of Bacterial Interaction and Death on Nanopatterned Surfaces'.

The dataset is in the form of six spreadsheets, which together cover three different parameters of the interaction: the effect of envelope stiffness, nanopillar centre spacing, and nanopillar radius. In addition to the results, details of the simulation process and various parameters are embedded within each spreadsheet. The dataset also includes the raw micrographs from the LIVE/DEAD assay, provided as a separate Word document file.
