The dataset presents Moran's I values for the dengue incidence rates in northern Queensland, Australia, 1993–2012.
Moran's I ranges from −1 to 1: a value close to 0 indicates spatial randomness while a positive value indicates positive spatial autocorrelation, and a negative one indicates a negative autocorrelation, that is clustering of observations, and similarly a negative value indicates negative spatial autocorrelation, that is, repulsive behaviour between observations. Statistical significance was tested using randomisation based on 999 permutations.
