Jeffrey is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a research fellow within QUT’s School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. His doctoral research at the Centre for Childhood Nutrition Research seated within the Responsive Feeding in Tough times (RFiTT) project. The project of his project is Dads at Mealtimes: Exploring fathers’ food parenting, feeding roles and experiences in tough times. This project aims to understand household food insecurity and household chaos, and their relationships with paternal feeding practices, in families with infants and young toddlers. It explored the perspectives of fathers and the factors that influence their feeding practices. Findings from this thesis can inform the development of early child feeding interventions that acknowledge the lived experience of fathers.
Jeffrey has over 10 years of international experience as a dietitian practising in NGO, disability centre, aged care homes, and in education, community, and corporate settings in Hong Kong and Australia. His areas of interest include maternal and children nutrition, early infant feeding, and working with culturally and linguistically diverse, and socioeconomically disadvantaged groups.
