Datasets for calculating the contributions of marine reserves to fisheries on the Great Barrier Reef

This dataset contains information needed to calculate the contributions of marine reserves on the Great Barrier Reef to the population and fishery dynamics of coral grouper (Plectropomus spp, Serranidae). In particular:
- The population size and structure of coral grouper populations on each reef, quantified across the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) Marine Park by a program of systematic monitoring using underwater visual census techniques.
- Reef-scale estimates of annual predicted reproductive output (i.e., total larval production).
- Connectivity matrices that describe inter-reef exchange of pelagic larvae, generated using a validated biophysical larval dispersal model for coral groupers.
- Estimates of the distribution of commercial fishing effort across all reefs.
