Queensland fruit fly - overwintering population data

Viewed: 1322

This dataset contains data on climate and on the emergence of the Queensland fruit fly, Bactrocera tryoni, from samples of fruit collected from late autumn to early spring 2017, which were obtained using a field-site located at the subtropical/temperate interface (Tropical Fruit World, NSW, Australia).

The development times and abundance of B. tryoni from samples held at ambient and controlled conditions were monitored. The observed data were compared to predictions of a day-degree population model published by Yonow et al. (2004) based on the climate data during the study period.
