Julian Knowles is a composer and performer, specialising in new and emerging technologies. His creative work spans the fields of composition for theatre, dance, film and television, electronic music, sound and new media arts, popular music and record production. Since the mid 1980s, he has established himself as a leading artist in the area of electronic and new music, achieving significant critical praise and international recognition for his performances and recordings. His creative work is published and available internationally via a variety of a number of record labels and has received numerous reviews in both the national and international press. In the course of his career Julian has received three awards and nominations at international festivals for his work in the area of screen music and sound design.
