Helen's first career experience was in a large chartered accounting firm, after which she worked as a contract writer and tax agent before pursuing an academic career. She joined QUT in 2008 from the University of Wollongong. Helen’s doctoral thesis was on the institutionalisation of accounting practices in a large not for profit organisation.
