East Manus Basin seafloor bathymetry modelling
Multi-beam echosounder (MBES) data were collected by the research vessel Sonne in 2011, on a joint research voyage (SO-216 (BAMBUS)). These data are available in the following publication: Thal, J., Tivey, M., Yoerger, D. R., & Bach, W. (2016). Subaqueous cryptodome eruption, hydrothermal activity and related seafloor morphologies on the andesitic North Su volcano. Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research, 323, 80-96. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jvolgeores.2016.04.041.
The data referred to here (East Manus Basin seafloor bathymetry modelling) is the modelling of the bathymetry data collected by Bach et al.
Data is 30m resolution anx used to assess the morphometric deatils of the seafloor in the Bismarck Sea, Papua New Guinea. Open source data was modelled using Benthic Terrain Modeler add-on from Arc GIS.
These XYZ data were used for morphometric modelling in research article Dyriw, Nick, Bryan, Scott, Richards, Simon, Parianos, John, Arculus, Richard John, & Gust, David (2021) Morphotectonic analysis of the East Manus Basin, Papua New Guinea.
