Dr Asmerom Sengal is a clinician scientist with strong passion to improve patient outcomes through innovative research. He graduated with Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2009 from Latin American School of Medicine, Cuba and with further specialization in clinical pathology AP (University of Gezira, Sudan) in 2016. He completed my PhD in 2020 in molecular oncology under the supervision of Dr Pollock, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) at Translational Research Institute (TRI) PA Hospital Campus in FGFR2 signalling and novel prognostic and predictive biomarkers of discovery in endometrial cancer.

Dr Sengal is a postdoctoral fellow and active teaching staff in histology, histopathology and histopathology techniques at the School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health, QUT. In addition to his clinical practice, he has been involved in research since he was a medical student. He worked in molecular characterisation and disparity of breast cancer in poor resource setting in East Africa and has published more than 20 articles and conference papers in peer-reviewed international journals.since 2020.
