Virtual reality intervention evaluation for reducing driving under the influence
This dataset was collected as part of a study exploring the effects of one virtual reality (VR) intervention as delivered in the real world.
An intervention was hypothesised to impact the participants' driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs or alcohol. Using pre- and post-test design, including an intervention group (n = 98) and a control group (n = 39), the intervention evaluation examined young drivers' (aged 18 to 25, no known history of DUI) intention and self-reported behaviour three months after the intervention as compared to the baseline. Thus, data were collected at two time points, Time 1 (T1, baseline, July 2018, before the intervention) and Time 2 (T2, approximately three months after T1, November 2018).
The dataset contains information about the participants' age, gender, driving experience as well as self-reported DUI intention and Past DUI behaviour.
