Bree Whiteoak is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a PhD candidate within the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at QUT. Her research project at the Centre for Childhood Nutrition Research will explore relationships between socio-economic status, food insecurity, diet and the gut microbiome in pregnant women.

While studying a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, Bree gained experience working as a research assistant and went on to complete her own paediatric nutrition research project. Since graduating, she has had four years of experience in a nutrition communications role and her areas of interest include women’s health, early life nutrition and the gut microbiome.
