Pre- and post-trial questionnaire data were collected for the REACH study (Researching Effective Approaches to Cleaning in Hospitals), funded by NHMRC GNT1076006, in 11 Australian hospitals, between 27 June 2016 and 26 February 2017 (616 pre-trial questionnaires) and 17 July 2017 and 17 August 2017 (308 post-trial questionnaires) by the QUT-based REACH study team. The questionnaires were completed by the environmental services staff in the 11 hospitals, and assessed staff attitudes and knowledge about aspects of their environmental cleaning work and role prior to and then after the implementation of a hospital cleaning initiative.
