Alison is an experienced project manager with more than 18 years working in health and education project and research roles, including the management of several large health research projects. She is a Registered Nurse and has a Master of Professional Education and Training. Alison's previous work experience includes roles at Family Planning Queensland and Queensland University of Technology's School of Nursing.

Alison currently manages the NHMRC-funded Researching Effective Approaches to Cleaning in Hospitals (REACH) Project. This project has investigated the effectiveness of an evidence-based cleaning intervention in 11 hospitals nationwide and is led by academic team members from AusHSI in partnership with Wesley Medical Research. It includes collaborations with academic partners from the University of Western Australia, Avondale College, Australian Catholic University and eight national industry, professional and policy partners. Alison also assists with the management of other AusHSI research activities and collaborations.
